The 2x8 PLC Splitter divides or combines 2 signal inputs to 8 outputs. Planar splitters are passive components that split optical signals into optical fibers. They feature low insertion loss and compact design, making them ideal for installation in sleeves, CVT's or ODF's. These splitters are used in PON (passive optical networks) fiber optic networks to split fibers according to the split factor, enabling transfer of up to 64 ports via a single fiber.
