Product Description

G.703 16 Channel Balun Panel - 1U Rack Mount 75 to 120 Ohm

This 1U G.703 balun panel groups sixteen independent 75 Ohm to 120 Ohm converters into a single 19 inch rack chassis for central office and equipment room use. Each channel presents two BNC connectors on the coax side and one RJ45 port on the twisted-pair side, letting an entire E1 DDF position be cross-connected to structured cabling through a single panel. All channels are passive transformer coupled, fully isolated and labelled for fast fault finding during maintenance.

2 independent 75 Ohm to 120 Ohm balun channels, 2 BNC connectors and 1 RJ45 ports

Front silk-screened channel numbering and TX / RX marking speed up patching and fault isolation

Removable rack ears allow in small equipment rooms

Passive design draws no power, so no power distribution, fan or firmware maintenance is needed

Transmission Performance

Return loss above 18dB and insertion loss below 1.0dB per channel, compliant with ITU-T G.703 pulse mask requirements

Transformer isolation of 500V DC between coax and twisted pair stops ground loop current between buildings

Crosstalk suppressed below -60dB between adjacent channels at 2.048Mbps

Supports runs up to 300m over Cat5 and 500m over Cat5e / Cat6 balanced cable
