Product Description
G.703 2 Channel  Balun Converter
Four independent 75 to 120 Ohm converters sit side by side in one DIN rail module, giving small sites the same patching flexibility as a rack panel without occupying rack space. Each channel takes a TX / RX BNC pair from the coax equipment and hands off a balanced four-wire signal on an RJ45 port, so E1 drops can leave the cabinet on ordinary Cat5 instead of twin coax. The module clips onto standard 35mm rail and is completely passive.
Four Channels in One DIN Module
  • 2 independent transformer channels, 2 BNC connectors and 4 RJ45 ports inside a single housing
  • 35mm DIN clip with locking tab holds the module in place during cable pulling and vibration
  • Channel numbers moulded on the front face reduce patching errors during commissioning
Designed for Tight Cabinets
  • Slim profile leaves room for adjacent breakers and terminal blocks in base station and roadside cabinets
  • No power feed, no earth reference needed, so no additional breaker or PDU capacity is consumed
  • Optional wall bracket for shelters where DIN rail space is already fully used
Performance and Options
  • Insertion loss below 1.0dB, return loss above 18dB and crosstalk below -60dB between channels
  • Transformer isolation of 500V DC stops ground loop hum between cabinets on different earths
  • Custom channel count, RJ45 pinout and private label front panel from 50 units

Search Terms and Alternative Names
Buyers and engineers describe this item in several ways. The same unit is ordered as E1 Balun Converter, E1 Impedance Converter, Coax to Twisted Pair Converter or E1 Interface Converter. All of these names refer to the passive G.703 75 Ohm to 120 Ohm converter described above: coax on one side, balanced twisted pair on the other, no power supply and no configuration. If your tender documents or BOM use any of these terms, quote this model directly and we will ship the matching version.
